Xocolatl Small Batch Chocolate Tour - $30

Started by Elaine Read (RPCV Malawi ’98-’01) and her husband, Matt Weyandt, Xocolatl Small Batch Chocolate is the premier bean-to-bar chocolate company in Atlanta. Producing single-origin chocolate from ethically sourced cacao, Xocolatl is the source of the tasty aroma that permeates Krog Street Market. Wanting to give back to the greater Peace Corps community, Elaine and employee Abby Bryant (RPCV Panama ’13-’16) have coordinated with AARPCV to donate chocolate tour vouchers as a fundraiser for Let Girls Learn. And, Xocolatl will be donating 100% of these funds to Let Girls Learn.

The Xocolatl Chocolate Tour takes you through the chocolate-making process at their micro-factory in Krog Street Market. You will be treated to a tasting of the chocolate at each step of production, and a wine pairing is included. Tours (max 6 people per tour) are offered Sunday through Thursday at 7 pm, and last approximately one hour. Your booking can be made by email upon receipt of the voucher.

Annual Dues

Join AARPCV! If it’s your first year after COS, dues are free. (Just send an email to Bob at membership@aarpcv.org with your contact info and country and dates of service.) The vast majority of the money that we collect is sent back into the community via Peace Corps Partnership grants.

Donations

AARPCV is trying to set a personal best record year for donations to Peace Corps Partnership grants.  Our goal is to donate $25,000, and you can help us reach it! 100% of your donation goes to Peace Corps Partnership grants.

All projects that we fund are vetted and recommended by the Peace Corps Office of Gifts and Grants Management. The AARPCV membership at large will vote to contribute to a specific project or a general fund (e.g., Let Girls Learn) at our quarterly potlucks.
